Notice of Special Meeting to Amend the
GMUFA Constitution and Bylaws
(Please note the February 21, 2018 Special Meeting has been CANCELLED. Please DELETE the documents that were attached to that notice). *
In accordance with the GMUFA Constitution and Bylaws, a Special Meeting will be held on Monday, March 05, 2018 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in room 9-323 (Kule Theatre) to amend the GMUFA Constitution and Bylaws.

To promote inclusion and engagement with the membership, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, with the approval of the FA Board, are recommending changes to the Constitution and Bylaws.
The option of electronic voting when proposing resolutions to the Faculty Association's constating documents (Constitution and Bylaws).
Further amendment changes are to align with the Post-secondary Learning Act (PSLA) and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
To remove the Board of Governor's Faculty Representative from the Faculty Association Board.
To ensure compliance with PIPA with respect to the personal information of the membership.
The Members approve the proposed amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws.

Information sessions for the membership will precede the Special Meeting on the following dates:
- Info Session 1: Constitution and Bylaws Committee Proposals February 07 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Room 7-185.
- Info Session 2: Constitution and Bylaws Committee Proposals February 16 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in Room 9-207.
Special Meeting will take place on Monday, March 05, 2018 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Kule Theatre (9-323), concluding with a vote on the extraordinary resolution.
* The Constitution and Bylaws committee noted a necessary change to the amendments to which the Board agreed. To properly adhere to process, a new Special Meeting has been called.
