Confederation of Alberta Faculty Associations (CAFA) stands with First Nations in
reasserting treaty rights

May 16, 2025 - First Nations leaders from Treaties No. 6, 7, and 8 held a peaceful demonstration at the Alberta Legislature yesterday "to oppose the separatist agenda being promoted by the premier of Alberta" 

The Confederation of Alberta Faculty Associations (CAFA) pledges its resolute and unwavering support of First Nations leaders in ensuring that the Alberta government honours and adheres to the treaty agreements.
